James Anthony “Andy” Spears, age 38, of Thornton, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce.

He was born March 11, 1988 in Camden, Arkansas.

Spears is preceded in death by his father, Lynn Thomas Spears; grandparents, James and Vaughnda LaBeff and Harry and Evelyn Anthony; two aunts, Rhonda LaBeff and Kelly LaBeff; and one uncle, Joey LaBeff.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Beverly and Kenneth Baxley of Thornton; two uncles, Jim (Robyn) LaBeff of Thornton and John LaBeff of Bearden; several cousins and other family members.

Visitation was held Wednesday, January 21, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Fordyce. Funeral services followed at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Merritt and Rev. Brian Caldwell officiating. Burial was in Calaway Cemetery near Thornton.
