John Edwin “Two Lane” Henry, age 73, a lifelong resident of Bearden, Arkansas passed away on the evening of Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at his home.
He was born at Camden, Ark. on June 17, 1952 to Edwin Holbert Henry and Irene Nowlin Henry. His parents preceded him in death.
Henry drove an 18-wheeler for UPS for 40 years. Someone said recently that he bled brown. Throughout his years driving he built up lasting friendships, many of which began with CB radio contact. His longest friendships were with fellow UPS drivers whose paths he crossed every work night on his deliveries, and the people in the Camden UPS office whom he saw every morning and evening.
He could be gruff as a bear but had a heart of gold, especially for animals. Henry said if he ever won the lottery he would start an animal rescue. Three great loves in his life were his mother, the many dogs he had, most of them rescues, and gardening (especially onions).
He is survived by a loving sister, Martha Rochat and husband Ross Dean of Florissant, MO; two nephews, Ross Edwin Rochat and wife, Jessica, of Chesterfield, MO and Ryan Henry Rochat and wife, Jaime, of Houston, TX; one niece, Andrea Rochat Sheehan and husband Riley; three great-nephews, Remy Ross Rochat, Harrison Rochat, and Arden Sheehan; one great-niece, Aenea Irene Sheehan; one step-great-niece, Raven Riordan; significant other, Kaye Baird of Bearden; ex-wife, Marina Henry and husband John Jones of Hampton.
Visitation was held Friday, February 6 at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. A graveside service was held Saturday, February 7, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Nutt officiating.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to an animal rescue. Arrangements were by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Bearden. To sign the online register visit http://www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
