Barbara Misenheimer Riddle, age 94, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Courtyard Health and Rehab in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born April 7, 1931 in Mancos, Colorado.
She moved away from Hampton to Washington, D. C. three days after graduating from high school. She danced at the USO clubs and traveled. She retired after 40 years with Verizon and moved with her husband to West Virginia. Upon his death, she returned to Hampton after 66 years. She was proud to come home.
Riddle enjoyed racing Thoroughbreds with her husband and also assisted in running his company. She enjoyed flowers, painting, and visiting with family.
Riddle is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Misenheimer and Lucille Wisinger Misenheimer; husband, Bernard G. Riddle and one brother, James Misenheimer.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Riddle and husband Sam Myers of Hampton; one brother, Tinker Misenheimer of Hampton; three sisters, Shirley Oliver of Fordyce, Mary Hawkins of Alabama and Peggy Chilton of Bossier City, Louisiana; and many nieces and nephews that loved their aunt, Bob.
Visitation was held Friday, February 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Burial was at Means Cemetery in Hampton.
