Brian Wade Ballance, age 50, of Fordyce, Arkansas passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. He was born January 13, 1976 in Fordyce, Arkansas, where he spent much of his life

Ballance worked as a mechanic and was known for doing things his own way. He marched to the beat of his own drum and didn’t follow the rules, choosing to live life on his own terms. Those who knew him will remember his independent spirit and strong personality.

He is survived by his children, Brittany Roberts and husband, Chris, of Thornton, Christopher Ballance of Fordyce, Brady Ballance and wife, Grace, of Kingsland, Klayton Ballance of Hampton, and Jacob Ballance and Lucas Ballance of Kingland; his mother, Anita Balance, of Thornton; a brother, Calvin Goforth and wife, Patty, of Willow Springs, MO; two sisters, Brenda Dunlap and husband, Eddie, of New Edinburg, Elizabeth Beard and Charles Lederman of Thornton. He is also survived by five grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Ballance, and both sets of grandparents.

Ballance loved his family deeply and those closest to him knew he held a special bond with his dog, “Bubba Son” who went nearly everywhere with him and was a constant companion.

A private family gathering will be held in his honor. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
