James “Buzz” Thomas Slade, Jr., age 60, of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 8:32 p.m. He was born on November 17, 1965 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late James Thomas Slade

Slade was a devoted husband to Monica Clemons Slade of 10 years and a loving father to Jacob Slade, Mary Beth Slade, Matthew Slade, Andrea Tyler, Konrad Williams (Taylor) and Thadeus Williams (Alexis); and a proud Poppy to 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Slade spent 41 years at Perry’s Body Shop and loved his work family.

Visitation was held Monday, February 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Smith officiating.
