The Fordyce LadyBug softball team has cancelled their season, the school announced in a post on Thursday (March 19).

Head coach Steven Lynn indicated that injuries and unforeseen circumstances caused the cancellation.

In a message to supporters, Lynn wrote:

Dear LadyBug Softball Supporters,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you that, due to a significant reduction in our roster caused by injuries and other unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of our softball season.

This was not a decision we made lightly. Our team values the commitment, time, and enthusiasm that so many of you have contributed, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support throughout the season.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding during this challenging situation. Your encouragement and dedication mean a great deal to our players and staff, and we look forward to the opportunity to return stronger in the future.

Thank you again for everything you have done for our team.

Sincerely,

Steven Lynn

The LadyBugs were 0-3 on the season, most recently losing to Hampton 7-0.
