Dorothy Jean Stell Randle, age 92, of Sparkman, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026.

Born February 10, 1934 in Tinsman, Arkansas, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Randle, her parents, Barney and Virginia Stell, her sister Mary Cathrine, and a step grandson Zane Gray.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dolores Cooper and Mary (Bill) McDowell of Sparkman; two sons, Marvin (Judy) Randle of Bearden and John Randle of Sparkman; her grandchildren, Randy Randle, Lauren (Garet) Davis, Leslie and Kirk McDowell, Stacey (Jamie) Weaver, and Eric Gray; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a member of East Side Baptist Church. She loved to sing, traveling many miles with Helen Reeder to sing “What A Day That Will Be.” Dorothy loved life and never met a stranger. She was very competitive. She was always going to win at dominoes, cornhole, and Go Fish. Her favorite hobby was bowling which she had enjoyed for the last 31 years. She was still on a bowling team in Hot Springs at the age of 91.

Dorothy was truly loved by her many family members and friends.

A visitation was held Tuesday evening, March 17, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Watson Cemetery.
