The 2026 Dallas County Fair is scheduled for September 12-19, 2026, and organizers have a packed week of activities for fairgoers.

Saturday-Monday, Sept. 12-14 will feature the annual fair beauty pageant, rodeo queen and talent show. Throughout the week, there will be activities for youth and adults as well as installations of booths and check-ins for arts and crafts vendors as well as livestock exhibitors.

Judges will be surveying livestock by Thursday, and by Friday, school tours and the livestock skill-a-thon will be underway.

Saturday, Sept. 19 is the big day for the Dallas County Fair. The day begins with the color run at 7:30 a.m. followed by breakfast at the Melvin Collins annex, and the 11:00 a.m. fair parade.

The afternoon includes food, music, arts and crafts, and fair games. The wacky magic of Tommy Terrific will be on display at 2:00 p.m. The popular children and family entertainer leads the audience through a fast-paced, educational and comical magic show.

There will also be a dog show at noon with competition in the categories of best trick, best small dog, best large dog, best in show, the people’s choice, and most photogenic.

At 3:00 p.m., the always popular livestock costume contest takes place.
