Joy Rogers and her family of Tulip, Arkansas have been selected as the 2026 Dallas County Farm Family of the Year.

Mrs. Rogers’ passion for farming began at just four years old and has continued throughout her life. In the early 1980s, she and her late husband, Rayford Rogers, built their home on their Tulip homestead, where she still raises Brahman and Hereford cattle today.

Beyond the farm, she is deeply committed to her community. She serves on committees such as the Tulip-Princeton Water Association and Tulip Volunteer Fire Department and is actively involved in organizations like the Dallas County Cattlemen’s Association.

Rogers is also a proud mother to Amanda, Vicki, and Orville. When she’s not working cattle or serving her community, you’ll find her tending to her garden, flowers, and fruit trees.

The Dallas County Farm Family of the Year is chosen by a committee of community members. The program is sponsored by the Arkansas Farm Bureau and the Dallas County Farm Bureau.

Since 1947, the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program has helped recognize outstanding farm families throughout the state.

The objectives of the program are:

• To give recognition and encouragement to farm families who are doing an outstanding job on their farm and in their community;
• To recognize the importance of agriculture in the community and state; and
• To disseminate information on improved farm practices and management.
