Jerry Wayne York, age 71, of Camden, Arkansas died Monday, June 22, 2026 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, Arkansas.

He was born November 7, 1954 in Thornton, Arkansas.

York was a retired sawmill worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wayne York and Davelene Butcher Childers; and stepparents, Burl Childers and Joe Ella York.

Survivors include three brothers, David (Rhonda) Childers of Pineville, LA, David L. York and John York of Rison; one sister, Lisa (Billy) Boutte of Bearden; five nephews, Hunter Smith of Pineville, LA, BJ Smith of Gonzales, LA, David Wayne York of Greenbrier, Michael Ritchie of Russellville, and Joey Crawford of Warroad, MN; three nieces, Rebecca Childers Coker of Dry Prong, LA, Regina Childers Vanover of Clarksville, and Stacey Daughtery of Guy; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other friends and family.

Funeral services will be private.
